Termite services
Termite services for Central Florida homes
Prevention before they show up, treatment when they already have, and over 26 years of termite experience behind both.
Chapter 01
Why termites are a Central Florida problem
Termites can be a major problem here in Central Florida. The soil stays warm, the ground holds moisture, and most homes around Lakeland have wood sitting close to the earth somewhere: a sill plate, a porch post, a trim board at the foundation. That is all a colony needs to find a way in, and they are patient about it.
Subterranean termites live in the ground and travel to the house through thin mud tubes that run up a foundation wall or a pier. Mulch piled against siding, a downspout that dumps water beside the slab, or a wood fence touching the house all make the trip easier. None of that is anyone's fault, it is just how the property sits. It is also why a trained eye walking the foundation matters more than a quick glance from the driveway.

An active problem or prevention
There are two different jobs here and we treat them differently. We do post-construction treatments for active issues, which means you have already seen something and the termites are in or near the house. Or we do a preventative liquid application, which means nothing has shown up yet and you would like it to stay that way.
In general terms, a liquid barrier goes into the soil around the foundation so that termites coming up from the ground have to cross it. For a house with activity, the tech works along the foundation where the trouble is, trenching at the base of the wall and treating the ground beside it. Whether it's termite prevention or solving your current termite problem, we are here for you.
If you are not sure which one you need, call (863) 370-0545 and describe what you saw. Brian Christensen and the crew will tell you straight whether it sounds like an active issue or a good time to prevent one.
Chapter 03
The annual treatment and 26 years of termite experience
Brian has over 26 years of Termite experience, and the whole family crew works from it. That history is what lets a tech look at a Lakeland foundation and know where termites usually try first, instead of treating every wall the same way.
Many customers keep termite work on a yearly rhythm. Michael Kravitz, who has been with the company for 9 plus years, lists "annual termite treatment" right alongside his insect control and lawn program, and says Bo has been very reliable and easy to contact. That steady schedule is how a home stays protected without anyone having to think about it between visits.
Between visits, you can help by watching for the signs. Mud tubes on a foundation wall, discarded wings near a window or door, wood that sounds hollow when tapped, or paint that bubbles for no clear reason are all worth a call. Tell us what you saw and when, and we will take it from there.
